My name is Victor Zwissig and I am the owner of Victor & Armand Zwissig in Valais, Switzerland. It was established in 1945 and I have worked for the company for 25 years. It now has 40 employees, who work on projects throughout the local region.
Originally the company specialised in the construction of dams in the mountains. Since then it has diversified and now specialises in earthmoving, transport, heavy hauling and dredging work, such as removing stones from the River Rhone.
HITACHI
Victor & Armand Zwissig has been a Hitachi customer for 23 years. Our first Hitachi machine was a 30-tonne UH143LC excavator, which was bought in 1986. Over the years, we have developed a good relationship with official Hitachi dealer Probst Maveg. It is based on mutual confidence and trust, reliable products, efficient after-sales service, and several years of commitment by Sales Manager Gaston Monney.
The company now has four Hitachi models including two medium excavators, a ZX240N-3 and ZX350LC-3. The latter was delivered in 2008 and has approximately 450 hours on the clock. It is currently removing stones from the River Rhone at the Holcim Gravel Plant in Praz. The excavator is equipped with long-reach and standard booms, a quick coupler system, three buckets and one demolition attachment.
