My
My name is Andrzej Biernut and I am an operator at Wolimex in south Poland. Wolimex was established in 1984 and now has 300 employees. It specialises in the construction of sewage systems, waste-water treatment plants and hydro-technical engineering. It also owns two quarries that produce sandstone and aggregates.
I have worked for the company since January 2009 and operate a Hitachi ZW310 wheel loader at Męcina quarry, close to the company’s headquarters in Limanowa.
The ZW310 is used for moving various grades of sandstone around the site and loading trucks for customers. When it rains, I also use it to distribute stones on the road around the quarry, so it is easier for the dump trucks to drive safely up- and downhill.
HITACHI
The ZW310 has 1,200 working hours and was delivered in February 2009. Wolimex also owns three Hitachi Zaxis excavators: a ZX210-3, ZX470LCH-3 and ZX670LCH-3.
Our company owner, Eugeniusz Wojak, has been a customer of the official Polish Hitachi dealer, Tona, since 2007. He is happy with the performance of the Hitachi machines so far and is satisfied with the after-sales service he receives from Tona.
Experience
The most important benefit of the Hitachi ZW310 for the company is reliability. For me, the greatest advantage is that it is fast and easy to manoeuvre, even when I am driving uphill with a heavy load.
The ZW310 also has a spacious, comfortable cab. The radio is better than the one in the company’s other wheel loader. I enjoy working with the Hitachi excavators in the quarry, too.
