MY
My name is Maciej Kopturkiewicz and I have worked for Wolimex for seven years. I operate a Hitachi ZX210-3 to load small dump trucks at the Męcina sandstone quarry, located 15km from the company’s headquarters in Limanowa, south of Krakow, Poland.
Wolimex was established in 1984 and now has 300 employees. It specialises in the construction of sewage systems, waste-water treatment plants and hydro-technical engineering. The sandstone produced at Męcina is used for river regulation and road construction projects. It also owns another quarry, Charzewice, which produces aggregates.
HITACHI
The ZX210-3 is the latest addition to the Wolimex fleet and was supplied by Tona, the official Polish Hitachi dealer, in May 2009. It now has 530 hours on the clock. Wolimex also owns two large Hitachi excavators, a ZX470LCH-3 and ZX670LCH-3, and a ZW310 wheel loader.
Owner Eugeniusz Wojak has been a customer of Tona since 2007. Impressed by the performance of the Hitachi machines, he is also satisfied with the after-sales service provided by the Polish dealer.
Experience
The ZX210-3 is extremely quick to manoeuvre and relatively powerful for its size. It is also precise to operate. There is enough space in the cab for me to feel comfortable while I am working.
Occasionally I use the other Hitachi machines on site, the ZX470LCH-3 and ZX670LCH-3, but the ZX210-3 is my favourite. Compared to excavators produced by other manufacturers, I think Hitachi models are better overall.
