My

My name is Jean-Claude Sarrouy and I am the owner of Saperfe Travaux Publics in Livry Gargan, near Paris. The company was established in 1985, has 30 employees, and specialises in underground construction projects, earthmoving and concrete recycling. We also dig up roads and demolish bridges before resurfacing takes place.

We are currently using a Hitachi ZX225USRLC-3 to excavate 65,000m³ of earth from a site in the centre of Paris, where a six-storey underground car park will be built.

Hitachi

The company has a total of three Hitachi excavators, a ZX25-2 mini excavator, ZX210W-3 wheeled excavator and the ZX225USRLC-3 with clamshell telescopic arm. They were all supplied by the official local Hitachi dealer, Payen.

I chose Hitachi excavators because of the reliability of the machines themselves and Payen’s after-sales service. If ever there is a problem, we know we can call Payen and they will solve it.

Experience

The Hitachi ZX225USRLC-3 is ideal for digging beyond the range of conventional excavators. The extension/retraction device in the arm moves quickly to enable a smooth telescopic movement. The sliding cab and extended window also make it comfortable to operate. Like all other Zaxis excavators, it’s easy to use.

The main advantages of this machine are that it can work in confined spaces and is quite fast to operate.
