My name is Mike Mackman and I am the Managing Director of GSE Plant Limited. The rental division of the GSE Group was established in 1999. We now serve the general construction industry in the south-east of England with one of the most modern and well-maintained plant hire fleets in the region.
We focus on projects within a 50-mile radius of our two depots, so that we can provide first-class service and support.
HITACHI
My links with Hitachi date back to my previous company. However, my first order placed for Hitachi excavators on behalf of GSE Plant was worth £1million. Our Hitachi fleet has continued to grow ever since.
The latest deal was for another 30 new machines worth £1.5million. This included mini-, mid-range and wheeled excavators, e.g. the ZX30, ZX85US and the ZX280LC-3.
The quality of our machinery is one of the main reasons why we have enjoyed such a high level of success.
Experience
I firmly believe that the advanced technology offered in the Zaxis range makes Hitachi difficult to beat and will continue to give it the edge.
The excavators are extremely reliable and certain models are often requested by customers. Our operators also find them easy to use, which helped us to expand and had a positive effect on the quality of the service that we provide.
We receive a high residual value for Hitachi machines, which allows us to invest more in new products when the time comes for them to be replaced.
