My
My name is Nejdet Pesket and I am the owner of Kancatas Limited, which has a 30-acre limestone quarry at Gebze, near Istanbul. The quarry opened in 2000 and my company took over it in 2002. We now have 90 people working at the site, which outputs 200,000 tonnes of aggregates per month at a rate of approximately 1,000 tonnes per hour.
We have invested in new excavators for moving rock, wheel loaders for loading trucks, and new crushing and screening facilities. According to Turkish law, all of the extracted aggregates from the quarry must be sold within a 25-mile radius, so competition between companies in the area is intense.
HITACHI
We have been buying Hitachi Zaxis models since 2003. There is currently one ZW310 wheel loader at work in Gebze and we have a second on order. We also have a ZX350LCH-3 excavator.
We decided to buy the ZW310 after our Hitachi dealer, ENKA Pazarlama, proposed that we tested a model from its demonstration fleet. Once I tried it out, I was amazed!
Experience
I have been using machines to load aggregates since 1976 and the Hitachi ZW310 is the most precise wheel loader I have ever worked with. Its performance is unbelievable and the penetration, speed and fuel consumption are all perfect. For my business, it offers the complete package.
