My
My name is Oleg Rudenkov and I am Chief Mechanic for Palard in Moscow. The company specialises in construction projects and was established in 2002. It has 30 employees at this site.
We are currently working on the reconstruction of the Bolshoi Theatre. The building is 252 years old and one of the most famous landmarks in Moscow. Our work involves excavating to a depth of 18m to create an additional three floors and increase the theatre’s seating capacity to 1,270. This phase of reconstruction is due for completion next year.
HITACHI
Palard has been a Hitachi customer for three years. It has 15 Hitachi machines, including eight mini excavators, four EX225 models and an EX330 – each with a clamshell telescopic arm – and a standard ZX270 excavator. Among the mini excavators, there are three ZX40Us, one of which is fitted with a breaker. Each machine at this site has two operators and runs for 18 hours a day.
Palard finds it easier to work with the same brand of machinery and Hitachi offers the company a complete service – like a one-stop shop.
Experience
In terms of price and function, Hitachi construction machinery is ideal for our company. We have had no problems with the machines – they are extremely reliable. This is the most important benefit for Palard. Our work requires stable, well balanced machines that we can rely on.
The clamshell telescopic arm on the EX225USRLC is invaluable for this kind of work. It is able to dig much deeper than 12m. The hydraulics are good, too. This machine also has a sliding cab, so the driver has greater visibility when lifting earth from below ground level and loading dump trucks.
