My
My name is Alexander Rimer and I have been an operator for Transstroymechanizatsiya for six months. The company has 1,500 employees and specialises in earthmoving and road construction projects. It currently has seven locations throughout the Russia Federation, from as far north as St Petersburg to Sochi in the south-west.
I operate a ZX350H-3 on a road-widening project, which is 35km west of Moscow city centre. An extra two lanes on either side of the Moscow to Minsk highway will be created, and the original surface is also being repaired. This is a busy main route through Russia, which leads to Belarus, Poland and Germany.
HITACHI
Transstroymechanizatsiya has been a Hitachi customer since it started in 2005. It now has a total of 13 Hitachi machines, including six crawler excavators, two wheeled excavators and five wheel loaders. A new ZW220 is one of the latest additions to its Hitachi fleet. Every machine works 20 hours a day and has three operators.
The company is satisfied with the after-sales service it receives from the official Russian Hitachi dealer, Techstroycontract (TSC).
Experience
Compared to Russian machinery, Hitachi excavators are much better. The best thing about the ZX350H-3 is its manoeuvrability. It is also fast and productive. I am using it to move relatively small volumes of earth by the roadside at the moment, but it is versatile and can be used on different parts of the site.
I also find the cabin comfortable. My overall impression of Hitachi is that it manufactures high-quality construction machinery.
