My name is Vitaly Biryukov and I work for Ofisstroy. The company specialises in construction, renovation and interior design of commercial properties including offices, restaurants, shopping centres, shops and factories. It is currently working at four sites in Moscow and the surrounding area.
I operate a ZX450LC-3 at the Moscow-City business development site. We are digging to a depth of 24 metres to make way for the foundations of a new building. Eventually the 100-hectare site will be a city within a city, with restaurants, sports and leisure facilities, offices and apartments. It is due for completion in 2012.
HITACHI
Ofisstroy only uses Hitachi construction machinery and bought its first machine in 1998. It currently owns 150 Hitachi models and has 30 at the Moscow-City complex, including two ZX450LC-3s, a ZX210LCH-3, plus two ZX230LC excavators fitted with breakers.
The company has a good relationship with Russia’s authorised Hitachi dealer, Techstroycontract (TSC). It appreciates the high level of after-sales support provided by TSC and its ability to respond quickly.
Experience
I have 25 years of experience in general construction. Compared to other manufacturers, I think Hitachi makes the most reliable and productive machines.
The lifting capacity of the ZX450LC-3 is good, which helps keep productivity high. It has more than enough power to do the job and is always working. There is no downtime with this durable Hitachi machine, even in tough working conditions during cold Russian winters.
The ZX450LC-3 is also easy to service and maintain. The high level of visibility from the cab is another important benefit for me.
