My
My name is Jean-Michel Roux and I am the owner of Roux TP. My grandfather established the company in 1956. I started working as an operator in 1983. My two sons, aged 18 and 20, also work for the business, which has 40 employees in total.
Roux TP specialises in earthmoving, groundworks, bridge and road construction. We are currently working on seven projects throughout Provence, south-east France. The largest is a road-widening project near our main office in Mérindol. The smallest is the construction site of a house in Le Tholonet.
HITACHI
My company has been a loyal Hitachi customer since 1983. Our first Hitachi machine was a UH07 and two EX200s followed in 1989.
Today we have four Hitachi models, including a ZX210 excavator delivered in 2003. I ordered a ZX17U-2 mini excavator during a trip to the Hitachi factory in Japan in 2007. A ZW220 wheel loader and ZX225USLC-3 excavator were delivered in summer 2008.
The ZX225USLC-3 has a unique hydraulic clamp that holds large, heavy rocks securely in the bucket. This modification was provided by official Hitachi dealer Prowimat. My company has had a strong relationship with Prowimat since 2003.
Experience
The operator recommended the ZX225USLC-3 to me after testing several different models. It does the job of two excavators, because it has a bucket for earthmoving and the clamp also allows the bucket to lift rocks securely. We don’t need two different attachments, so it is extremely versatile.
Reliability is the main benefit of our Hitachi fleet. I studied engineering, so I know how machines work and Hitachi manufactures the best models. They are also easy and economical to operate.
